Building a Campfire is the most important skill, it will keep you warm, provide heat for cooking, as well as keep predators away in case they are around.

There are several innovative ways you can create fire without any gear, but they require practice and patience. Testing a few fire-building skills in your backyard is an excellent way to prepare for an emergency.

Practising different ways of starting a fire is a must because you have to adapt to any situation you meet at your campsite. so you have to choose your campsite wisely.

TYING KNOTS

This is an undervalued skill that might help you survive. There are plenty of knots methods to tie depending on the interest. this skills will enhance your security in your camping.

BUILDING SHELTERS

Finding the right spot for your camping is the first thing you should do once you get lost in the wilderness, it has to be a safe place and I prefer to stay invisible. Put your construction instincts here with your childhood memories and make a good shelter.

Use the environment to decide the style of your shelter, if you are in a forest, you can tie some ropes to the trees to support your shelter and make it more static, if you are in an area with heavy winter snows, it will be a good opportunity to practice digging a snow cave shelter.

BASIC FIRST AIDS

At any moment, you have to deal with a kind of difficult emergency, for example, an injury that might happen to you, or any of your journey partners. So you have to learn how to act wisely and properly to save a life.

Start practising with your family members, or friends. Practice the first aid series of common threats, such as controlling bleeding, treating burns, stabilizing limbs, and knowing the right plants to treat insect stings for example.
